Indicted Buchanan County lawmaker plans to fight charges

A Buchanan County, Virginia supervisor indicted on more than 80 felony charges said in a post on social media that he plans to plead not guilty.

Grundy’s Trey Adkins said he does not plan to resign his position despite the two-year investigation by State Police. Evidence presented to a special grand jury resulted in charges of embezzlement, election fraud, and forgery.

“…And once we are able to make a statement and explain who’s who and what’s going on, it’s gonna shock this county, it’s gonna shock the news, and it could possibly make national news,” he said in the video.
