Hawkins County Man Arrested On Domestic Abuse, Resisting Arrest
A Hawkins County man is now jailed after allegedly beating a female victim, and then assaulting the responding police officer. Surgoinsville Police responded to 928 Millers Bluff where they discovered a female running out of the house with a small child yelling “he’s going to kill me.” That’s when 45 year old Aaron Michael Murray fled into a wooded area before being tazed by the officer. A backup officer arrived to find Murray on top of the officer beating him in the head with the officer’s tazer. After brief struggle, Murray was tazed again and arrested. The victim complained of a possible broken arm and had several bruises where she had been hit in the face and arm.
