Greene County names new interim director of schools

The Greene County Board of Education has named a new interim director of schools. Chris Malone, who has been a principal and teacher in Greene County Schools and has been in the central office for over 10 years, will serve as the interim director until July. Thursday night, Board members said they were looking forward to Malone filling the position. The board will vote on a permanent replacement in the spring. The permanent director will take over on July 1. Current Director of Schools David McLain’s last day is January 31.
