Greene County Courthouse receives $500,000 grant
The Greene County Courthouse has been named a recipient of a $500,000 Tennessee Historic Development Grant, which will provide funding for the town’s government to rehabilitate the courthouse building. The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development said more than $6 million will be distributed to recipients across the state for the rehabilitation of longstanding, historical facilities. The program helps communities and private developers invest in those buildings that have contributed to a town’s history.
