Governor scheduled for economic announcement at former Bristol Compressors plant

It appears the former Bristol Compressors assembly plant has a new owner.

A press release issued by the Washington County Board of Supervisors and Industrial Development Authority says Governor Glenn Youngkin is scheduled to make a new industry announcement on Tuesday at the facility located at 15185 Industrial Park Road.

Over 450 workers were laid off when the plant closed in 2018; that accounted for 13 percent of the county’s manufacturing sector.
