Governor Lee Unveils Transportation Plan For Rural And Urban Tennessee

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is introducing his administration’s strategic infrastructure plan with his Transportation Modernization Act. Lee says the plan is needed due to Tennessee’s growth, address traffic congestion and meet transportation needs across rural and urban communities. Lee’s plan will ensure the Tennessee Department of Transportation has the resources needed to solve the state’s current and future mobility challenges. The Governor’s plan includes the use of public private partnerships to allow private investment in new urban roadway infrastructure and use the savings for more rural infrastructure priorities.
