Former teen center director indicted on drug, forgery charges
The former director of an advocacy center for teenagers was taken into custody in a Northern Virginia city after a Tazewell County grand jury indicted her on 7 charges.
A Commonwealth’s Attorney report said Ann Marie Burks will be extradited from Chesterfield County for arraignment on charges of distribution of narcotics, forgery, conspiracy, and receiving money under false pretenses.
The report said juveniles under Burks’ care at the center were not affected or harmed during her time as director of the Teen Venture Center in Richlands.
