Former David Crockett athletic booster treasurer indicted
A Washington County, Tennessee grand jury has indicted the former treasurer of two David Crockett High School booster clubs on two counts of theft of property and one count of forgery.
A Comptroller’s Office report said Leigh-Anna Clark misappropriated more than $8,000 total from the Football and Wrestling funds to pay personal bills and make purchases like clothes, a washing machine and a room at a hotel.
Investigators said Clark submitted forged meeting minutes when trying to transfer remaining funds at her resignation. The report said Clark made questionable disbursements of more than $11,000 but investigators did not have enough evidence or documentation to present criminal charges.
