Fender’s Farm plans to reopen later this year after Helene damage

After Hurricane Helene last September, the damage to Fender’s Farm was so bad that owner Carroll Fender originally didn’t think they’d ever be able to open the farm again. Once word of the possible closure of the popular attraction got out, Fender says the community support was overwhelming and then decided the farm would have to do what it takes to re open. Community organizations and individuals have spent countless hours working to clean and repair flood damage, and raise money. Fender said that, as things still remain to be finished and rebuilt, the farm is on track to be opened again around September.
