Erwin man charged with rape and assault

A man is charged after police said a potential rape victim was brought to a local hospital for treatment.

Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff Keith Sexton said investigators met with the victim who identified the suspect as Rigoberto Llamas, 19, of Erwin, and commented that the crime took place in the county.

Llamas has been arraigned and charged with rape and simple domestic assault. He has been issued a $51,000 bond.
