Eight firearms found by TSA at Tennessee airports in one week
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) says just in the span of a week, officials discovered eight firearms at airport security checkpoints in Tennessee. Firearms, both loaded and unloaded, were found at every major airport in the state, including one at the Tri-Cities Airport.
An unloaded 9 mm Glock was found on March 22nd at the Tri-Cities Airport, and TSA notified local law enforcement, who removed the firearm and passenger from the area. TSA takes this opportunity to remind the public that firearms are only allowed in checked baggage, provided they are declared to the airline and in proper carrying cases.
