Eastman Chemical Company to test alert systems on Tuesday and Wednesday

Eastman Chemical Company has announced future plans for an internal alerting system test at its Kingsport campus.

The reviews will take place Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and includes site-wide hazardous vapor release alerts to make sure all emergency systems and personnel are operating properly.

The notice was posted to alert neighboring homes and businesses of the plant’s blue light alert and alarm activation on those days.
