Eastman begins operation of new plastic recycling facility

Eastman Chemical Company has announced that its new molecular recycling facility is now operational and already generating revenue. The facility breaks down landfill-bound plastics to be reassembled, making virgin-quality material. Eastman plans to ramp up production in the near future. The company also says it plans to build two more molecular recycling plants, one overseas and the other in the U.S.
