Dr. Brian Tate named interim principal of Dobyns-Bennett High School

Kingsport City Schools announced on social media Dr. Brian Tate was named interim principal of Dobyns-Bennett High School. Tate is replacing Chris Hampton on November 1st, current principal who will transition to interim superintendent of Kingsport City Schools.

Dr. Tate has served as an assistant principal of D-B since 2011, and before that a math teacher. School officials say Dr. Tate’s experience and history of leadership at D-B have prepared him well for this opportunity.
