Dickenson County School Board votes to keep superintendent

An effort to oust the superintendent of Dickenson County Public Schools has failed. Monday, during a regularly scheduled school board meeting, a motion was made to remove Superintendent Haydee Robinson from her position effective immediately. The motion failed with three members voting to keep Robinson and two voting to remove her. The agenda for Monday night’s meeting included discussion of a petition seeking Robinson’s removal. A petition online has collected over 1,000 signatures.
