Charges to now include first degree murder for Kingsport man

Charges have been upgraded for a son who attacked his mother and uncle in Kingsport. A release says that Martha De La Riva passed away Saturday morning after suffering complications related to the injuries she received. Her attacker was identified as her son, William Clark. T he second victim, Phillip Pendleton, who is Clark’s uncle, remains in stable condition. The Kingsport Police Department says charges against Clark have now been upgraded to first-degree murder. The investigation into the attack continues.
