BVPD identify shooter is Sunday incident

Bristol, Virginia police have identified the suspect in the Moore Street shooting. Police said that 46 year old Bert Dunn of Bristol, Virginia was taken into custody after he called 911 saying he shot a female. Police have charged Dunn with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm. Dunn was taken to Southwest Virginia Regional Jail and is being held without bond. The victim is expected to recover. Police were called to Moore Street Sunday evening with reports of the shooting.
