Bristol Tennessee officials report standoff ends on 6th Street

An incident that triggered a lockdown at nearby Tennessee High School in Bristol, Tennessee is still under investigation.

A report from city officials said police were called to the 600 block of 6th Street after reports of a man carrying a gun. Officers arrived and found one man who had been assaulted and another who barricaded himself in a building on the property.

The man then surrendered without incident after crisis negotiators were called in. More details are expected to be released.
