Bristol Tennessee Council Members Approve Additional Funds For Air Purifying Systems
The United Way of Bristol, Tennessee is receiving thirty thousand dollars from City Council to be used for purchasing air purifier systems in an effort to alleviate the effects of landfill emissions in affected homes. The total includes another ten thousand dollars previously committed by City Council for use by income qualified residents. So far the agency has received more than 600 applications for assistance through the program. Bristol, Tennessee council members on Tuesday night voted to prepare legal steps in case a legal matters develops over Bristol Virginia’s problems at its landfill.
