Bristol man found guilty of carjacking to face sentencing
A Bristol, Virginia man was found guilty and faces at least two decades in prison. A jury convicted 48 year old, Charles Nile Mixon, of carjacking, using a firearm in relation to a crime of violence, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a stolen firearm. Mixon was accused of carjacking at a Taco Bell in Bristol, Tennessee, the morning of May 24, 2023. Mixon forced the victim to give up keys to the car and held the victim at gunpoint. Mixon fled the parking lot with the victim in the passenger seat before the victim jumped out of the moving car. Sentencing is set for March 6. He faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 22 years in federal prison.
