Boyd Sports, LLC takes over Bristol State Liners

Boyd Sports, LLC is now the owner of the Bristol State Liners. The announcement was made Sunday by Bristol Baseball Inc. President and General Manager Mahlon Luttrell, who said the ownership change is effective immediately. Randy Boyd is the President of the University of Tennessee, and now owns or operates several other baseball teams under Boyd Sports, LLC., including the Knoxville Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, and multiple other Appalachian League teams.
