Boy Scouts of America’s Sequoyah Council hosting annual Scouting for Food initiative Feb. 5-12
Boy Scouts of America’s Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia group, The Sequoyah Council, is hosting its annual Scouting for Food initiative next week. The organization partnered with Food City stores and other businesses to help stock local food banks, in order to fight hunger in our region.
Organizers say food banks depend on drives like this to ensure local families never go without food. Boy Scouts will have non-perishable food donation bins placed in Food City stores across the region, as well as several other locations. A full list of donation locations can be found at SequoyahCouncil.org. The Scouting for Food drive happens from February 5th to the 12th.
