Both Bristol’s Approve Landfill Lawsuit Settlement

Leaders from the twin City’s of Bristol have come to terms and approved a 300 thousand dollar settlement that will be paid by Bristol Virginia to Bristol Tennessee concerning the cleanup and closure of the Bristol Virginia landfill. Bristol Virginia must also stop adding trash to the landfill and obtain approval from the state to close the landfill due to foul odors that have drifted from the landfill for years. Bristol Tennessee filed the suit in May of 2022.
