Boone Lake Property Owners Get Update On Final Phase Of Seven Year Boone Dam Repair Project

Boone Lake property owners, and businesses, who have endured seven, long years of lowered water levels as the Tennessee Valley Authority repairs the dam, get an update this morning on progress of at the reservoir and recreational site located between Johnson City and Kingsport. Those repairs began in 2014 after a sink hole was discovered at the base of the nearly 70 year old TVA Dam. Repairs to the popular fishing and boating area is said to cost in excess of 400 million dollars.
