Body found in debris field near I-26 in Erwin

Erwin Police Chief Regan Tilson said a body was discovered in a debris field on Wednesday by an area contractor. The body was located in a debris field near Interstate 26 by the contractor, who then notified the department. Officials are working on identifying the body. The body is believed to be that of a flood victim.
