Bluff City woman found with drugs in detention center holding cell, receives additional charges

A Bluff City woman was hit with additional charges after police found an illicit substance in her possession while in a holding cell at the Washington County Detention Center.

According to Washington County Sheriff, Keith Sexton, 40-year-old Brandy Smiley was charged with introduction of contraband into a penal facility after officers located Suboxone strips and pills while searching the holding cell where she was being housed. Smiley’s bond was raised an additional $2,500.
