Blountville Heritage Festival canceled due to COVID-19
The Sullivan County Department of Tourism has canceled the 13th Annual Blountville Heritage Festival. Department officials say after much consideration, they have decided to cancel the festival due to rising COVID-19 Delta variant numbers. The department goes on to say their primary concern is the safety and well-being of the community, vendors, and children. They say this decision is in the best interest of everybody. The festival will issue full refunds to vendors who have paid registration fees. The Blountville Heritage Festival was set to take place on September 11th. No reschedule date has been announced, but organizers say they look forward to hosting this event in the near future.
