Blackburn pushes for no COVID shots for soldiers
Several federal lawmakers including Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn have endorsed a bill that would rescind COVID vaccination requirements for U.S. military personnel.
Governor Bill Lee commended Blackburn, a member of the Armed Services Committee, for working to eliminate what he called an overreaching federal mandate.
Lawmakers have lobbied President Biden to eliminate the COVID shot due to the amount of soldiers being discharged for refusing it and the negative impact it has on recruiting.
Thank you, Senator @MarshaBlackburn, for your partnership and hard work on the Armed Services Committee to ensure our members of the TN National Guard are protected from this overreaching federal mandate. https://t.co/tEqrcwH1VJ
