Big Stone Gap: Home declared total loss, family displaced after house fire

A home in Big Stone Gap is considered a total loss after a fire on Saturday. The Big Stone Gap Fire Department assisted the Valley Fire Department in efforts to extinguish the blaze, which was fully engulfed upon arrival.

BSGFD says nobody was injured in the fire, however the home was declared a total loss. The American Red Cross is assisting the affected family, according to the organization’s disaster program manager, Sharon Dixon.
