Betsy Baseball breaks ground on new facilities
Elizabethton High School celebrated the groundbreaking of an new facility that will bring high tech batting cages and pitching lanes to the school’s stick and ball programs. The new facility will be named after Evan Carter who is a major donor to the project. Carter is a former Elizabethton player, and now a World Series Baseball champion with the Texas Rangers. Not only will the new additions benefit the school’s baseball program, there are plans for open “swing nights” with an opportunity for the community to gain use of the facility.
