Auto crash fatality reported in Buchanan County

A report from State Police details a two-vehicle crash earlier this week in Buchanan County, Virginia.

Preliminary information says 72-year-old Stella Blankenship of Mohawk, West Virginia was traveling south on Route 83 near Slate Creek Road when her car veered into the other lane and struck an SUV head-on.

Blankenship later died at an area hospital. The other driver was not injured.
