Animal Shelter of Sullivan County hosting “jailbreak” adoption event
The Animal Shelter of Sullivan County invites the public to a jailbreak; the shelter, in partnership with the Sullivan County Department of Archives and Tourism, is hosting a pet adoption event at the historic “Old Sheriff’s Home and Jail” on Saturday.
The community can attend this event to learn about the historic old sheriff’s home, which now houses the Heritage Tourism Information Center, and meet some animals in need of a loving family. This adoption event happens at the Heritage Tourism Information Center in downtown Blountville on Saturday, 3/19, from 11AM to 1 PM.

The Animal Shelter will be holding an event in the historic “Old Sheriff’s Home and Jail” this Saturday. Please consider Adopting a pet, learning about the various services the Animal Shelter of Sullivan County offers, and as always donations are welcomed. The purpose is to secure a great home for the wonderful cats and dogs currently in the shelter. We feel the Visitors Information Center provides a highly visible venue for adoption.
