After A 20 Year Wait, Fresh, Clean, Water Coming To More Than One Hundred Mendota Homes
After an almost a 20 year wait, more than one hundred homes in the Mendota Community of Washington County Virginia will finally receive public water service. More than 80 homes now using private wells will soon be able to tap into clean, fresh, public water. Construction will begin again, with the help of a seven million dollar grant the Washington County Virginia Service Authority will use beginning in 2022 to construct and complete 15 miles of the Mendota Road Water Line Extension Project. Another 25 homes in the Mary’s Chapel Community will also receive water services when the project is complete.
