Millions approved for South Industrial Drive repairs in Erwin

More than $2 million has been approved to repair portions of South Industrial Drive in Erwin. In a press release Monday, The State of Tennessee and the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that $2.6 million has been approved for road repairs and culvert replacements in the area. The industrial park area in Erwin was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene last September, and continues to impact employment in the county, as those business’s inside the park await infrastructure to be able to rebuild and restart operations.
