Case of Whooping Cough identified in Washington County VA school

A case of whooping cough has been identified in a Washington County, Virginia school. Officials with the Washington County, Virginia Schools said that they received a letter from the health department saying a case of whooping cough was identified in E.B. Stanley Middle School. It was added that 99% of students are vaccinated. As a precautionary measure, custodial staff will be increasing cleaning and disinfecting efforts throughout the building, with a specific focus on high-traffic areas, and they will be closely monitoring for any signs of illness or symptoms.
