Police said suspect used car as a weapon to kill Elizabethton woman

Elizabethton police have charged a woman that eyewitnesses said hit two women in a driveway on Race Street mortally wounding one of them.
The city police report said the incident occurred on February 14 with Kristie Oliver Bishop, 50, later charged on several counts including vehicular homicide, failure to render aid, aggravated assault, and a list of drug charges.
Police identified the victim as 57-year-old Teresa Emmonds of Elizabethton who died of a head injury at a local hospital. An argument between the three women preceded the crash.
Bishop was pulled over and arrested shortly after she left the Race Street residence. She is being jailed on a $200,000 bond. The report also said Bishop had an arrest warrant out of Washington County, Tennessee, and was driving on a revoked license.
