Railroad crossing work to affect Bristol VA traffic

Railroad maintenance is impacting traffic in Bristol, Virginia, this week. Thursday, Norfolk Southern will be conducting maintenance at the Commonwealth Avenue crossing adjacent to Highland Avenue. One lane will be closed and one open with flaggers. Work is expected to take one day. On Friday, maintenance activities will conclude at the Euclid Avenue crossing west of Commonwealth Avenue. Again, one lane will be closed and one open with flaggers. This is expected to take one day as well. Drivers are asked to use alternate routes if possible.
