AEP reports power outages from winter storm

After an afternoon of snowfall Sunday, Appalachian Power Company reported over 700 power outages in Virginia on Sunday from Winter Storm Blair, with those outages reported in Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell, Scott and Wise Counties. AEP said in an update that it has requested more than 700 additional personnel to assist with restoration, with another 250 on standby as more winter conditions expected to ramp up again Monday afternoon.
