Eastman Credit Union purchases properties near Downtown Johnson City

Eastman Credit Union has purchased two adjoining properties near Johnson City’s Model Mill along West State of Franklin Road. The property includes the site of Family Skate Center and a building Tennessee Hills had planned for a brewing operation. Cheryl Medley, who owns and operates the Family Skate Center with her husband Randy, said the business will be on site for the foreseeable future as ECU moves toward ultimate plans for the property and they are looking for a suitable space for a new location. Tennessee Hills just opened a new operation near the Pinnacle shopping complex in Bristol, but say the still have plans to expand in Johnson City.
