Around 5,000 participate in JC Thanksgiving Day tradition

Estimates are that nearly 5,000 people participated in an annual Johnson City tradition Thanksgiving Day. Runners and walkers were out early participating in the 19th annual Up & At ‘Em Turkey Trot Thursday morning in downtown Johnson City. Proceeds from the 5k event will go towards Hurricane Helene relief efforts in Washington County, Tennessee. The route took participants through downtown and the Tree Streets, and wrapped up at the TVA Credit Union Ballpark.
