Crash sends mother and child to hospital in Greeneville

A 5-year-old boy was flown to a hospital Tuesday after his mother suffered an apparent medical emergency while dropping him off at school, resulting in a crash. The Greeneville Police Department says the crash took place Tuesday at around 8:11 a.m. at Tusculum View Elementary. The report said the vehicle left the roadway and hit a parked pickup truck and boat before coming to a stop after striking a billboard post. Both mother and child were injured with the woman taken to Greeneville Community Hospital and the child was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center via helicopter.
