JC commission approves rezoning for Heidi’s House of Hope development
Tuesday night, the Johnson City Regional Planning Commission approved a rezoning plan that will allow local non-profit Heidi’s House of Hope to put 184 affordable homes on a parcel of land on Frank Jones Road. The plan features a mix of duplexes and single-family homes, ranging from 500 to 1200 square-foot. One the dwellings are in place, phase 2 would focus on adding communal areas like dog parks and gardens. Officials with the organization say they hope to break ground in the spring.
