TN and VA reach opioid settlement with Kroger
Attorney generals from 30 states, including Tennessee and Virginia, announced Monday the completion of a settlement with Kroger for the grocery chain’s role in the opioid crisis. Kroger settled with the coalition of states for around $1.37 billion. Tennessee will receive up to $42.9 million for opioid abatement, and Virginia will receive up to $29.4 million. Both states expect payments to start next year.
