Former ETSU Buc Landon Knack makes World Series debut
Johnson City native and former ETSU Buccaneer pitcher Landon Knack took the pitchers mound in Game Four of the World Series between the LA Dodgers and NY Yankees. Knack came into the game in the 4th inning with the Yankees leading. He pitched scoreless innings up until the 6th, when he gave up a solo home run to Austin Wells. He would then finish up the night four innings, two hits, two strikeouts, and one home run. Knack becomes the first former Buccaneer to play in a World Series game since Atlee Hammaker pitched for the San Francisco Giants against the Oakland A’s in the 1989 world series. The Yankees won the game 11-4 with game 5 Wednesday night in New York.
