Death investigation in Kingsport involving 14-month-old child

An investigation has been launched by the Kingsport Police Department after the death of a 14 month old child.

A city police report said emergency workers found the toddler unconscious when they arrived at the home in the 3800 block of Eastline Drive, which is listed as the address of the Miller Village Apartments complex, just before 4:30 Monday afternoon.

The child was transported to a Kingsport hospital and then pronounced dead. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
