Bays Mountain Park reopens after storm

Bays Mountain Park reopened on Wednesday after being closed for a week due to damage from Hurricane Helene. The park announced it has reopened at normal hours with some trails remaining closed. The park advises mountain bikers to be cautious of small branches along River Mountain Road and Chinquapin. Park officials say they hope to have the western end of the park open by Friday and also noted that no animals in the park were hurt.
