Murder suspect arrested after chase in Kingsport

A man accused of killing his wife in Mockville, North Carolina, was arrested by Kingsport officers who spotted him in traffic.

The city report said Dennis Jerome Sales, 38, fought with officers after the East Stone Drive chase. He was then taken to a hospital after suffering overdose symptoms after swallowing drugs.

Carolina authorities said Sales shot his wife Jade while his teen daughter and infant son were inside the home. His Kingsport charges include evading arrest and reckless endangerment.
