Greene County BOE member resigns, TBI investigation underway

Immediately after announcing his resignation for health reasons, a former member of the Greene County Board of Education is being criminally investigated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. WJHL confirmed with the TBI that it was investigating allegations made against Hugh Thomas Cobble. An attorney speaking on behalf of the board said that the county and school board will cooperate with any investigation. Cobble made no mention of any allegations or investigation in his resignation letter.
