Greeneville Police arrest man after road rage incident
Greeneville Police responded to a road rage incident on Tusculum Boulevard near Austin Street just before 9 p.m. Sunday. The victim told police she was traveling on Snapps Ferry Road towards Tusculum Boulevard when a black pick up truck came up behind her tailgating and revving its engine. The woman said the truck almost rear-ended her vehicle at the intersection near Austin Street. When the woman looked back, she saw the driver had opened his door. The woman walked towards the truck and the driver, identified by police as Nathan Cox, asked if she could “go a little faster.” and then reportedly racked a black handgun that he was holding near his lap. The woman called police and Cox fled. Police later located Cox with a handgun and drugs found inside the truck. Cox is charged with aggravated assault and drug charges.
