Prescribed burn scheduled in Unicoi County

The United States Forest Service will conduct a prescribed burn in the Limestone Cove area on Monday. The burn will consist of approximately 800 acres in the Limestone Cove community of Unicoi County, on the backside of Simerly Creek. Be advised, smoke will be visible in the Carter County area, especially Hampton and Roan Mountain.
